LEO is done - Bring on Construction Challenge!

I am sad that LEO is done - I had so much fun with the challenges and participants. It was so rewarding to get motivated to create - but the real gift was getting to know some wonderful ladies a little better as we created together. I am often amazed at this hobby as all of the participants are so genuine of heart!
Good bye July - hello August and Carmen's Construction challenge - that's right - I am still on an every other day creating binge!! Come join us here! Construction Season Challenge
Here is the layout I posted for August 5-6:
I used the goodies from the August Work in Progress kit and add-ons - of course if you know me - you know I added other little bits that were hanging around!

Back update: Still hurting - Insurance denied the MRI so I went to urgent care yeaterday - Dr prescribed - you got it - an MRi so we are trying again - It is scheduled for Monday - waiting to see what the Ins says. Still hurting, but the Dr. prescribed a pain pill. He needs the MRI to see if I have a floating bone in my disk - no idea what that is but it sounds scary! They did x-rays - I have 2 degenerated disks, a bone spur and a boatload of arthritis surrounding the bad disks and pelvic bone. Yikes! I am too youg for arthritis!! Think good thoughts for me. Jamie - I am trying to teach Roxy to get the ice pack from teh freezer, but she is not cooperating! Silly pug!

Oh Poor me!

Somehow I really twisted my back yesterday and am not walking well. OK - I know how it happened - I was trying to carry way too much stuff at once - shame on me. All of a sudden I felt wicked burning across my lower back and dropped everything. I was afraid I had electrocuted myself with my two cell phones and metal belt. It's funny what races through your mind. This is the 4th time I have had LBP in the last 2 months - but this time it is wicked. A girl at work suggested a Chiropractor. They got me in at 3pm yesterday. The Dr. did her tests - told me she was skipping x-rays and sending me to get an MRI - she is pretty sure it is disk issues. So they hooked me up to the electode thingy and then ultra sounded me and sent me home to ice for 20 mintes every hour. I came home and laid down - an hour later I could not get off the bed. The pain was unbearable when trying to stand. Got the ice and did the routine - sometimes it really stinks to live alone - Roxy is not a great nurse. So - no one to bring me the ice pack. It is better today than it was last night and the MRI is at 9:30 this morning. Another chiro appt at 3PM. I don;t know whaat it is but please say a prayer it is fixed quickly!

LEO #15 - I completed all the challenges!!

OK ladies- here is the last LEO challenge from Willowtraders
Use 15 of something on a page!

I used 15 different papers. I didn't want the page to be overwhelming so I created 4 flowers with three patterened papers each for the bulk of the 15.

Check back later in the week for a tutorial on how I whipped up these bad boys!

All you need is three different size punches, three patterened papers, one brad, a pencil and your scissors!

LEO #14 Beach Baby

So I lifted my girl Martha Bonneau - love her style have for a long time!
Here is her layout:

And here is mine:

My little pumpkin butt Jamie returned from vacation so I went and had lunch with he and Pam. I needed a bunch of hugs and kisses!
How can one little boy fill your heart with so much joy? How can he make me laugh and smile the whole time I am with him? He amazes me. My heart just feels so huge when I watch him play - when I see how smart he is - not even four and his reasoning ability is incredible. Sometimes I feel like I am talking to a 20 year old! Such a cupcake!

A Birthday Card

Did this card this morning for the mother of a dear friend. Tomorrow is her party.

Happy Saturday!!

Good morning!
I love Saturday mornings. I wake up early - brew a full pot of coffee, logon and catch up on blog hopping, cuddle the pug and plan my day! Today - laundry and scrapping. I plan on staying in the house all day! I love when I can do that.

So - Willowtraders is doing another blog hop this weekend. So fun - there are so many talented people and I love the ability to check the blogs throughout the day for new fun posts! Here is my scrappy contribution this morning. It's my LEO challenge #13. We had to use old product in our stash. this is from the ScrapRoom - a page kit from March 2007. The paper is AtoZ Essentials - I don't think they even exist anymore. The arrows are Maya Road chipboard and a FULL sheet of Luxe rub on arrows. I rubbed the entire sheet onto some patterened paper and cut them out. I pop dotted each arrow on the layout. I know this layout is very busy and I need to learn to edit sometimes, but it was fun junking it up and only using items from that kit. Actually I added Maya Mists and some Tim Holtz red pearl stickles to puch it up a notch!
