This makes my toes tingle in anticipation!! There is NOTHING close to a Publix fresh glazed doughnut - it puts Dunkin to shame!

What is one of your Very Best things?

LEO #12 Crazy Silly Goofy Nut Boy

This was the "Get out of the box" Challenge! Very fun and challenging. I am a lumpy bumpy kinda gal and this layout is flat. Almost paper only, but at the end - I had to glitz it a bit with some stickles!
I cannot believe there are only 3 more LEO's left! My personal goal is to complete every challenge. So far so good. I think the next two will be fine as one posts today and is due on Saturday morning. Then one will post on Saturday and be due on Monday. If I have some weekend time - I know I will get it done. The challenges posted on a week day and due on a week day are the hardest for me. I am usually pretty much toasted when I get home at night. I am absolutely a morning girl. I go to sleep early and wake up before the roosters crow. In fact - this challenge I did yesterday morning before I got ready for work. I have had such a great time being challenged every other day. I am looking forward to the Construction Challenge coming up for August at Willow Traders.
Have a fantastic Thursday!

It's Pug Wednesday and another card

Today is Roxy's favorite day. Every Wednesday she goes to the groomer. We call it Pug Wednesday because I have to go into work a little later to drop her off at doggie daycare.
Roxy looks forward to Pug day because she gets to spend the day with one of her favorite people. Miss Collette owns Gigi's pet grooming. She is a second mom to Roxy. Whenever I go out of town, Roxy goes to stay at Colette's house. Collette has lots of kids and they love to play with Roxy.

Wednesdays are more than a shampoo-set, mani-pedi for the pug. We also call it doggie daycare day. Since Roxy and I live alone, when I go to work each day - Roxy spends a lot of alone time. Going to doggie daycare allows Roxy to play with other puppies all day long. When we get home, she is whiped out. She flops on the cool tile and that is that. Down for the count. I know it sounds crazy to some, but Roxy is my only baby and $15 a week is pretty cheap compared to child daycare!!

I also wanted to share another card I created.

I love to repurpose cardboard!

The Card

It was a personal mission to complete all of these new project before today. I completed this card last night. About 20 minutes from thought to completion. Took longer to pull all the supplies than complete it. I wanted to use a technique. Those are my favorite kind. :)Although completing the card completed my mission - it is also going to be well received by the person I am sending it to. A co-worker has a wife going through a very difficult medical situation. Actually, his entire family is affected. Once a month, I try to send them a card to let them know they are in my thoughts and prayers. I will mail this tomorrow.
So - there it is. Thanks for pushing me. I needed it. I feel good about it.

WillowTraders LEO #11 Find Some Inspiration

OK - I have to tell you - Sandy really threw me for a loop - the challenge was to find inspiration from something non-scrap related. EEp. I frequent scrap blogs, have tons of scrap mags and books. I thought - I had best have some lunch and think about this. I went to Publix on my way home from church and picked up my favorite veggie sushi tray. So I went to get it - as I was drizzling soy on the lovely little rolls - it hit me! Sushi tray = fab inspiration!! Off to photo my lunch tray and get to scrappin! Here is my Sushi lunch inspiration:

Black background - the little rolls reminded me of my scallop punches - white, avacado green and carrot orange! Love the different size circle and scallop punches! I punched away and this is what I came up with!

I used pop dots to lift the pics off the page. I also staggered the orange circles to show off the color. I finished it off with a "wasabi" green ribbon at the bottom!
This was too fun! I was really excited to whip this baby up and it came together in an hour!

It was a very fun weekend playing with my scrappy goods. The garage sale at the LSS was this weekend. Too bad they are closed today. I am excited to see how much of the stuff is gone. It will be fun to have a credit to use to purchase summer CHA goods when they start rolling in. I cannot wait for the new Sassafras Lass!! Monstrosity is my absolute favorite new line!

Have a productive day!!

The Completed Mini!! (Pic Heavy)

I spent all day yesterday completing this bad boy! Still not a mini girl, but it feels nice to have accomplished it and I am pretty pleased with the end result.

And there we go! The LEO challenge # 11 will post today and I plan on working on it and a very special decked out card too. Check back - I might have one more post before the end of the day!!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

WillowTraders Blog Hop and LEO #10

WillowTraders is my favorite scrappy message board. This weekend, Chrissy is organizing a Blog Hop. Click on Blog hop to see the details and all the participants! Be sure to check out their blogs and leave some love! It is a chance to support each other!

Here is my LEO #10 Challenge. The challenge is to use this sketch.

Lots of fun!! I used my new EK Success punch that makes the big ole scallops - layered pieces of Basic Grey from the Work In Progress Project kit! And then - in my usual madness - I added a bunch of yummies. TFL! I am on to think about working on that mini book... or a card...or another layout!! Be back later with more goods. :)

Mini Album woes

I am not a mini album girl. I want to be - I have in the past, but at this point in my life - I am not motivated by the tiny individual canvases. I am workng on one to stretch my limits. Here is the cover - which I love - I am struggling a bit with the inside pages, but have hope that I will overcome it this weekend and crank this baby out! :)

This weekend starts a new WillowTraders blog Hop! Be sure to check back to see what I can create this weekend!!

An Altered Item

About a month or two ago - i was moved to alter some canvases. This was inspired by an e-mail from Rick Warren - the Purpose Driven Life Minister. I am Catholic, but I subscribe to the daily newsletter for inspiation and it is a divine way to focus my day. On this day, He spoke about how God provides lessons in the Past, the Present and the Future which made me focus on Forgiveness for the past, purpose for the present and hope for the future.

I attached magnets to the back of each canvas and they hang on my white board in my office at work. Each day I am reminded of the gifts from God.
Have a fantastic day!

LEO Challenge #8 - Use a Technique

The technique challenge! The stars in the lower right corner of the pic were chipboard stars that I misted - then covered in glitter. Can't wait to see what Sandy comes up for the next challenge.

The Garage Sale Woes

So the pricing was too overwhelming for me. My good scrap pal Val is my saviour. I found I couldn't be objective so I had 2 huge boxes of stuff I got to her and she is going to price it for me. We are probably not going to go over $5. She is going to break it down, bag it and tag it. I told her she could have anything she wanted for her troubles. Since I have a SERIOUS purchasing issue - she was excited to dig through it and do it.

Then I received the e-mail...You have a lot of stuff here - this is going to take some time. YIKES - I feel so bad, but she is such a great friend - called her and she is sticking with it. She also found some treasures she had been looking for so it was a win win. (kinda - ok more win for me)

When she saw the boxes - she was like - OMG - we are sharing a table at the GS. she said she had maybe 1/4 the amount of stuff for sale!

The GS is this weekend so we shall see what happens. The bottom line - all of the stuff has been sitting in a back bedroom and would still be there next year so if it brings some credit at my LSS then I am that much further ahead and hopefully someone else is excited to use it. I do not want anything back so what does not sell is going to the elementary school as a donation.

This has been a sickening wake up call for me. I need to get a grip and am putting myself on restriction. Studio calico and Work In Progress kits only. No additional purchases for me.

Happy monday!!

It was a lovely Sunday. Great mass which kinda cast a glow on me all day long! I scrapped a bit. Working on a mini album - spent awhile dolling up the cover. Love how it came out though. I will work on it some more tonight. The LEO #8 posts today so can't wait for that inspiration.

Also - cleaned out two boxes of old kits for the garage sale at Strawberry Fields. My lovely Valerie is going to price it all for me because it was overwhelming and I really just want it gone. If anything sells - I will be that much farther ahead than having it all sit in boxes in the "scary" room. I paid bills too - hate doing it, but so glad it is done for this month. I love electronic payments!! Good news - there is still money left over - HAHA ;)

Looking forward to a beautiful week. Here is a layout I did last week - just so to share a pic and liven this space up! Used bits from the WIP kit and the Studio Calico. The boys having fun at the pool. I love the casual cardboard with the fancy cut paper and that AWESOME diecut from the July WIP kit!
